The choir has a variety of responsibilities. Our primary role is to support and enhance the congregation in singing Praise and worship songs. As such, the choir becomes an important leader in Praises during any church activity, as part of our main task, we gather and assemble in prayer and praise through songs to edify the body of Christ.
The Church choir is the collection of talented individuals that are trained to lead the congregation during services. Most of the choirs are church members that are called to serve in this Department.
The Church Choirs thoroughly rehearse the hymns to be sung in the Praises, worship, Holy Communion and any other special events, we also assist the assembly as a way forward to learn new songs; if the congregation is to learn new music swiftly and accurately, the choir takes a lead.
The Choir serves the purpose of setting the tone for worshiping and praising God and, to minister to all meeting the needs of every individual through song, hymn, and spiritual selections letting Word of Christ dwell in us richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with all grace in our hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16).
